How to demonstrate active listening
30 Apr, 2017. 0 Comments. Sales Tips. Posted By: Kasia Jankos

To show other people that you are listening to what they say and to make sure you understand them correctly, there are a few tips you might find useful. First, when you are not 100% sure you get the meaning of what someone says, always ask for clarification. You can also describe what you just heard in your words and ask if how you understand it is correct.

Another way to demonstrate active listening is to ask relevant questions so the other person can tell you a little more about the particular topic in which we’re interested. You can also express your emotions that some sentence evoked in you and at the end of the discussion, you can try to summarise the main points. These simple tips should make sure that your prospects will feel appreciated and listened to.
