Azzur is one of the world’s best professional gaming teams in S.M.I.T.E.

Smite is a third person action multiplayer online battle arena video game, developed and published by Hi-Rez Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One.

The Azzur team approached us through one of our developers and after an initial kick-off meeting over the Skype, we quickly decided to take on this project as it was quite different to anything we’d done so far.

The eSports industry is very fast growing, yet the early stages of a developing market show a quite unprofessional approach across the board in regards to branding and marketing. Former leader Leo decided to take his team and future to the next level by creating a new name, to work as their own brand and unique website with new, previously unseen features.

The project was started in late 2013 and by spring 2014 we had everything developed, including stunning new logo which truly expressed Azzur’s character. This was a great project and a really fine and important achievement.

We had to start with a good project evaluation, which included a few weeks of research and meetings with the team and other eSports professionals.

Comparison of the top leading SMITE teams exposed a total lack of professionalism across the board, which slowly started to shift.

Intensive brainstorming and team interviews to grasp the essence of the project.

#1 - Defined brand and guidelines allow them to position themselves visually as a professional team to sponsors and other professionals.
#2 - Defined mission, vision and values allows the team to integrate even more. It was a bonding process.
#3 - 4th place in SMITE 2014 world championship in Atlanta (that wasn't because of us, of course).
